This game is a true masterpiece.  From the story to the character development to the battles.  The boss battles require some planning and strategy, no tedious hack-hack-hack of hundreds of thousands HP.    You can craft your own unique weapons and armor, or, if you'd rather, just leave it to luck to find those unique weapons and armor in treasure chests.  The characters are imperfect, yet endearing.  The protagonist is a kidnapped half-bred (half monster / half human) who just wants to go home but finds himself at the center of a power play he cannot avoid, a mage who is scorned by her society because she knows 'too much' magic, a thief who actually steals (many times quite impulsively), and a hunter who is questioning his own beliefs and loyalties.   Together, they form a band dedicated to thwarting the destruction of the balance of their world, or maybe not.   There are certainly seeds of mistrust and deception that have been sown along the way.  The game is not yet completed, but there's well over 30 hours of gameplay thus far.  I highly recommend giving Origin Hunt a try.  I believe the only disappointment you'll experience is if the game fails to see completion.
