A downloadable game for Windows and macOS.

Starting off, I was a bit disappointed with 0_abyssalSomewhere. This is mainly because I went into it expecting something resembling a Soulslike game. If you go into it expecting that, you're not going to enjoy it. Not including the boss at the end, I attacked exactly one person, and I only did it to test whether they would actually die.

Now, if I was so disappointed, why give the game a 5 star review? Well, I was able to get over my expectations pretty quickly, and once I did I was able to appreciate it for what it is; a strange, surreal journey through a desolate world. The art design was more than enough to draw me in. I absolutely loved the look of the massive, crumbling concrete halls and bridges suspended in a dark void. The incomprehensibly massive architecture, the long, precarious paths and narrow stairways, it's the kind of thing I've seen in my nightmares but could never quite put into words until now. It's hard to find a game that really scares me, but I'd be lying if I said that there wasn't a pit in my stomach as I explored this game's world, just waiting for some massive thing to appear out of the darkness or for the floor of some ancient concrete bridge to give out beneath me.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that 0_abyssalSomewhere might not necessarily work as a "game" in the traditional sense, but as an artistic experience I think it's unmatched.
