A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android.

How this guy manages to fit so much content into every update is beyond me. I admit, it's not all to my taste: you can play straight, bi or m/m, which is apparently the term for 'not actually gay, but close enough.'

In early development you had little choice but to be straight or bi, which I confess had me holding back for a while; but that's largely been rectified now. And no, that is not a pun on rectum.

In fact, there's probably more m/m content than not now.

Once the m/m content increased I became a patreon, which, depending on your chosen level, opens up additional in-game content.

A number of commentators on the game here have expressed their disappointment that MC is so apparently-dumb: being privy to additional information in the Patreon content provides a little more context. MC is a victim of an extremist, totalitarian religious sect, brought up with a Frederician Sense of Duty that, while perhaps undeserving of the capital letters as he has his moments, goes a long way towards explaining his ignorance and naïveté. Desperate to read books, they were forbidden to him. Which is not to say he was ever likely to be a genius, but it's unfair to blame either the MC or the writer for a character trait that was made, not born. [/end rant]

Almost without exception every update adds enough content to make for a satisfying play-on, although don't expect things to go easily - or non-violently - for our hero. That said, the choice of love interest - from the love-interest's perspective - seems to happen awfully suddenly.

The webcomic Freefall has a reputation as the slowest comic on the internet, in terms of the content covered (and years of Earth-time taken) in a single in-universe day. Space Corps XXX is similar: I don't think we've made it through a full day yet. Which suggests there will be updates to come many years into the future. That, or two days of in-universe time and the whole game's done. Either way, RanliLabz seems to be overflowing with ideas and enthusiasm, and I'm very happy to come along for the ride. (And the nudity, even if the body shapes are a bit overly-physical for my tastes [and occasionally-improbable but, you know: aliens].)
