I enjoyed playing this game quite a bit on Steam as the story hooked me in, but after my laptop showed me a black screen and I booted the game up, I could no longer load the game properly. Thankfully the Itch.io download worked just fine despite my laptop freezing up ever so often.

Anyhow, I felt sad that Herbert has suffered some sort of loss, though the story only hints at what it could be, and doesn't explain why Cally's parents needed to be kidnapped so that Herbert could continue his experiments in the caves (though he does survive his long, slow fall into the water, so maybe CC 4 & 5 would explain why he keeps doing the same thing over and over, once I get to said games?).

I might continue playing the game to obtain all the remaining guns (didn't know there was a Slime Gun until Cally's friend mentioned it in the Pause Menu), but I don't know when that will be.

In any case, the game was fair in terms of difficulty, in that the only reason you fail is because you were not careful when fighting enemies or falling into water/lava. Haven't tried Survival Mode yet in order to level up all my weapons, since I had fought King Carl multiple times to level up some of them to level 19 before getting tired of the boss.

I'm sure you'll get better at making these games, seeing that CC 5 is already out for some time (I think) and that you have lots of fans. Keep it up! :)
