A downloadable game for Windows.

Great controlls and nice retro graphics (in the sence that it's actually reminiscent of NES style graphics instead of a generic "pixel art" style). Level design is allright and challenges the player's platforming skills a little, though not too much. The pogostick ability wasn't really necessary and functioned more as a shortcut through some platforming areas. There aren't any unfair jumps due to the tight and well defined controlls; even jumping itself feels very satisfactory and bouncy.

The problem would then be the enemies. While the wolves (though sometimes annoying) and floating skulls can be easily dispatched with a fell swoop of your cane, enemies like the purple mob dudes take too much hits without challenging anything other than the player's patience. The boss itself is a laugh once you figure out he gets stunned by every attack, even if it's in the middle of attacking you, making it very easy to get him into a stun-loop.

Overall I'd say this game is short and sweet, and though it has some flaws in enemy design I'd love to see more of it
