A stripped down DOOM for #pico8. Simple, well-designed little maps. No gimmicks. Solid encounters. Took me a bit to figure out how to switch weapons. Well-selected subset of weapons and enemies, engaging sense of player progression. It's slower and arguable more atmospherically intense than DOOM. Enemies seem to be slightly more resilient than their DOOM counterparts, but the distinction between each enemy is clear, which I imagine was helpful for level design and balancing. Same for the weapon selection. I'd would def enjoy playing another original adventure in this engine.
