The story, world building, and characters was very well done. The writing in this game was simply charming and amusing all the way through. That being said, this game massively drops the ball when it comes to gameplay. There are simply too many gameplay loops that aren't satisfying to play and are downright annoying at times to get through. I found myself hating the game because of the amount of minigames I had to take part in. That on top of the badly placed UI (no easy way to look at collection, hard to find npcs, have to hunt down npcs after every play, etc) soured my experience greatly. Which is a shame because I did truly enjoy the story being told. Overall, I do think the charm of this game alone is enough to give it a try.
