One of the best JRPGs I've played, and it's free. Looks fine, sounds great, difficulty keeps it challeging without being frustrating, story has excellent pacing with great use of foreshadowing to keep the player guessing about what's going on, characters are sufficiently unique and interesting, side quests don't ever feel boring. Game's short for the genre, but never feels short. UI could do with some minor improvements (sometimes it's hard to understand what status effects are active, and some info in battle pops up and disappears too quickly), and having to watch some cutscenes again if you're defeated by a boss is unfortunate.
