Interesting idea and nice to look at, but the physics and movement feel totally off from the get-go. If you're holding left or right while in midair you go absolutely FLYING, and while I appreciate the gradual buildup showing players what they can do, the timing on building up jump height isn't nearly as straightforward as the demonstration makes it seem. The rounded corners are also strange to interact with, and it's not really intuitive what's going on when you enter water.
There isn't a whole lot to The Floor is Jelly. There's no world map, no items, no other characters, not even a "restart level" option, which leads a physics glitch in one of the rotating levels to require save editing to get out of. I'm glad I got it in a bundle, because the value I got out of it is closer to a free Flash game than 10 dollars' worth. It's ultimately just a barebones regular platformer with a disorienting visual gimmick.
