Keep in Touch, Okay? is a heartbreaking drama with stellar art and music that left a hole in my heart.
The story was deliciously personal and heart breaking. The balance of cozy, intimate love with unfair, messy reality paired with the introspective narration put me in Zoey's shoes instantly. By the end, I was clawing at my screen, hoping that things would end with a "I love you," and "I love you too."
But of course, I think with how everything went, it couldn't ever end like that. In a strange way, I stood with Loser Zoey---I hope in another life, Zoey broke Cherry... or that Cherry broke Zoey.
Ahem. As for the art and music, it was well directed. I adore its comic book style, and the music played its part perfectly. Although, side-note, the lack of body expression in the sprites did dull the augment between Zoey and Cherry a little. But still, all around great craftsmanship.
Overall, it was a great read that has left me hungry for more. Though it is not my place, it would be a lie to say I'm satisfied. I really want to see more of these two.
They are a subversive, interesting, yet grounded couple with an electric dynamic. There are very few stories I can think of that have those. High praise.
Nonetheless, I look forward to whatever Putzpinkie makes next...
...I'll keep in touch, okay?
