Fully functional, free multi-DAW, multi-OS sampler plugin.
The GOOD:
Got all the needed features like channel control, volume control, and even a really good, fully thought out loop mode.
Attack and release controls look and feel proper, and it can even record.
Just to not forget to enable mono mode when I do so.
I love the lo-fi resampling mode, always reached for it in reasamplomatic. The other experimental playback options are also always a welcome sight.
The distortion effect with minus density is kind of dope, actually. You should try it!
The BAD:
No sample trimming feature found so far.
The effects themselves are a mixed bag, not the highest quality, but workable.
So far I checked, it only supports wav, which I don't think is a massive problem.
The start and end points are a bit window-dependent, meaning if you zoom in, you would have to zoom back out to adjust them. Meh.
Autotuning option is... a bit wacky, not always the most accurate. I am glad it has it, but it could REALLY use some work!
The HOPIUM:
The only real thing this sampler seems to need is its own minimalist preset storage format, that would go a long way. Something like a custom format that is just a zip file, that would contain an audio file and instructions to it for the sampler itself, like stored EQ and loop points, and whatever. This would REALLY make the thing 5 stars for me, and make my 8-bit wav samples smaller.
