A browser game made in HTML5.

An interactive short story that takes place in a sort of medieval fantasy-style setting. One readthrough takes about 5 minutes or so. There is only one ending.

The story is fine, but something about it just didn't work for me. There are three POV characters, but the one who has the most focus is the one who I found the least interesting. He's a farmer and seems to serve as the authorial mouthpiece. Then there's the entitled princess and the upstanding knight - their roles in the story were more impactful, but then the story just... ends.

Part of it might be the structure of the story. The timeline weaves in and out, so the end of the narrative isn't chronologically the end. Maybe if the story ended chronologically, and the knight had been built up as more of a character, and the dialogue between the knight and the farmer had been extended or felt more conclusive. Maybe, maybe, maybe. Instead I felt that it ended on the most emotional moment (story climax) and dangled.
