I recorded my playthrough and I'll share that with you in a moment. There are longs pauses because I was taking notes on the game.
I'm willing to play this again and give it a better rating if it's improved. It's not a bad game at all and has very powerful strengths that I'm lacking.
Some of which are:
⭐I adored the medieval aesthetic you went with here and along with your strong writing voice, it definitely creates a sense of identity for the game.
⭐The YouTube videos are a great addition and it's awesome that someone played your game like a streamer. Unfortunately the first link is broken and the second video is rather long. A trailer for the game would be good and I'd be willing to make you one if you donate $5 to any of my games. I'll send you a link to a trailer I made for my game in about an hour and I've uploaded edited videos of other gameplay with memes, transitions, onscreen text and other stuff.
⭐I love the idea of how you can control the kingdom and developer your avatar to be a wide range of personality types, I think call it "your warmonger" is less immersive and personal than "who will YOU be, how will YOU rule?"
⭐I picked the tempter and was delightfully surprised to see a picture for the character. It was on the left side, rather than centered though. The way you described my origins and history was awesome and rich with interesting detail. You're writing is good. There was a part that said an item will drive you insane... good thing you're already insane HAHAHAHAHA. That's awesome.
⚠The art looks AI generated, that could turn some people off.
📝Added a draggable bar on the left may be good, I don't like moving the mouse left and right to choose options and read the text.
👎Decisions feel unclear or vague. You did an awesome job with all the explanation in the description and the manual. Maybe have text tips appear or show when options are hovered could aid the player, the key word is MAYBE. Not all games should be handholdy. I do think that the "increase influence with..." options are a bit vague and lacking in personality.
📝I didn't play in fullscreen and got confused between the game text and description sometimes. A border at the top could be a strong visual indicator for where the game ends and description begins. I've made one for you matching the aesthetic, although the sizing may be off. Feel free to use it. All the artwork was from pixabay, so you don't HAVE TO attribute it.
