AmphithereMajesticon rated Stoneheart Archive

A browser game made in HTML5.

Very very cool game but I think fits best at a 4.5 stars. It's got some issues but the concept is very good, the art is appealing, the music is great, and the gameplay is great.

I wasn't able to get some upgrades (eg mining stone and gold while moving) and I didn't realize that the level ups were more of enhancements rather than actually unlocking the upgrade. I was confused for 3 days wondering why my mobile archive wasn't breaking trees when I got so many upgrades for it to do so. Either have the first levelup just unlock it or note that this is just a free enhancement.

Also, some weird buginess with how trees and other resources break with your castle. If it goes right in the middle of the legs, it doesn't break and you still need to get out and clear it which kinda removes the purpose of the upgrade to auto-clear tbh. It's got reduced resource output to make up for the automation.

However, the dual split between making sure your mecha is moving during night for optimal raid resistance and heading to required locations whilst also needing to clears it path and collect resources is great. The gold scarcity is cool but I do wish more upgrades didn't require it since it's kinda used for everything. I especially like the fort on fort fight which I went into early because I had no idea what it was and it totally destroyed my fortress (which also killed it). I can't tell if having 0% hp legs on all just stops you from moving or makes you lose the game, it never really came close to threatening me.
