3 stars and a half actually but they didn't allow me
Well,
I expected... to be hit more in my emotional bone... Maybe I had too high of expectations?
I mean it was fine, I liked it! I love anthologies so much, I know they are just so much work, they are such unbelievable fits of coordination... and it is not like this one here didn't have an impact on me,
like I feel it did. It is a good thing that I have went through this. This opened to me a new door, even if that door was reading books (I am struggling with that lol) and consuming more indie content (in comparison to what I usually do, watch videos), Wonderful stuff!
Yet, it didn't sucker punch me like I expected it to do. Didn't make me think so much...
Feel so much. Some of these scenes were a little dull and somehow gave me the impression that this was made by people a bit outside to this theme. Like ... for example... The eye artwork? I feel the artworks in general were in lack of essence and surface level.
Some scenes were totally opposite to that though. They were so hyper-specific that I maybe felt a little lost. It felt more like...reading a book... than experiencing something more intimate... as I did expect?
I do not know, I am not a well read person into this medium and I have inklings of opinion.
The intro with the mold analogy was really awesome though! I related to that so much and such a perspective is very noble and significant. Also, the comics were interesting and some of the stories there did catch my eye, like the one about a website going down or the one about slime. They were... interesting. A little clunky maybe? But under that, there were precious, significant bits and ideas, shinings of unpolished gems.
But in rest... Perhaps I didn't personally relate so hard. And/Or maybe I have to digest it a little more.
Either way, thank you for the work put and have you all a good rest of your week! Good job, and please don't take this too personal!
