I fell asleep. Plus the cheap, and out of nowhere jumpscares lowers the horror element, rather than makes it scary. 

Also, those meaningless stupid scenes added to my frustration.  

To make it scary, you need to make it unknown, and mysterious. If there was no jumpscares whatsoever, or only at the end of the end, it'd be hell lot more fearful and intense.
