This awesome little gem completely captures the spirit of the 1983 film Krull, which I've loved since I saw it in, well, 1983. The central Seer and Eye of the Beast mechanics are brilliant, and the rules are really just a flexible framework. Oh, and the art's gorgeous. I felt the need to knock off a star simply because a couple of procedures are unclear, and would've been helped by even a brief example. I also would've liked some sort of map, but the setting's so sketchy that's only a small quibble. It'll be fun to make my own. :-) OH, and if you weren't aware, there's also a novelization by the redoubtable Alan Dean Folster, and a Marvel Super Special, #28, with a graphic version of the story and "movie extras!", all to be had very cheaply on eBay, etc.
