Tristis Oris rated Concrete Abyss

A downloadable game for Windows.

- Good architecture, alternative routes, shortcuts, safe zones where you can fall. There's no feeling that the location was just generated. At the very least, very good patterns of object interconnectivity.

- Casual parkour, lots of protection, hard to fall. Smoothness and ledge grabbing aren't perfect, but very good.

- Combat takes the game beyond the plane of a primitive platformer, even though combat itself isn't needed and should be avoided as much as possible.

- The terminal minigames are unnecessary. Typing is already boring. And solving tasks is even worse. Typing 2 commands just to save is awful.

- When you're in the terminal and getting hit — there's no combat indication. Essentially, this renders half the gameplay pointless.

- Disabling the alarm doesn't change anything. The robots will attack you again. The red eye will raise the alarm again. A non-functional mechanic.

- No resolution higher than 1080, even though in borderless mode the game works in any resolution anyway.

- No "restart" option. Need to waste time dying.

- The text typing effect in dialogues is slow, pointless, outdated by 100 years. Can't speed it up, can only skip the whole dialogue. When copying — you need to understand what you're copying.

- No command repeat in the console.

- No journal for found notes.

- Two-component healing forces you to spend HALF your inventory. + several different types of ammo. So in practice, there's no inventory in the game. Couldn't you just make a separate belt for ammo and 2-3 healing items?

- Spray heals awfully little. For a full heal, you'd need a full inventory of consumables.

- The inventory doesn't show HP. How many healing items am I supposed to use?

- Repair robots respawn enemies. Repair robots can't be killed. ...

- Repair robots deal huge damage to you just by walking past. You can't even stand AFK in a SAFE zone.

- Boards with spikes are placed everywhere. But large robots can't be pushed.

- I restored full HP, saved, loaded — and the HP was gone, and the consumables were gone. I deleted the game. The game broke in about 15 minutes..
