I spared $7 because the mech and horror is a unique concept that appealed me. However I have some serious gripes about some of the mechanics in the game. The first issue I have is the reheat/overload part. I am not a fan of the mechanic where you are given a task of having to press the space bar, to time the arrow to hit the green bar 5 times with each bar getting smaller and smaller. I feel flipping a few switch's and buttons would have been a quick and realistic fix.
My biggest gripe and this almost made me quit the game was recalibrating the third tower. When you get inside after having to repeatedly tap W to go up the Ladder you have to rewire and this on a mouse was nearly impossible. If this is doable with a controller that would have been better but it's not worth going through just to see if it works.
My smallest tiff was hoping more mech upgrades and features. like a rocket launcher to blow up a rock wall or something that explains why you drive a mech and not a jeep to get around the compound.
Despite my grievances with this game I think a mech horror genre is a greatly untap market that can be explored more and has great potential to stand out. We have many good titles like fnaf and iron lung, and I hope we can get a mech horror game with more desirable features.
