i love interstitial. in no other game can cloud strife, finn meowmeow, scorpia, frasier crane, and vir cotto be an elite task force sent to take down "the board", a group lead by jk rowling, where cloud uses the runestone of the sword of protection as a materia to summon an old man half-cyborg version of john cena to take out ronda rousey and fraiser uses the power of the kobayashi maru to take out sherlock holmes in the cheers bar while woody looks on in some bemusement.

in all seriousness, interstitial is a pbta game like you've never seen it before. by weaponizing the links between characters that even stretch across worlds, riley makes bonds matter in a clever, sometimes hilarious, sometimes heartrending way. sometimes you burn a link within minutes of making it to succeed on a roll. sometimes you burn a link you've had for the entire game when it matters most. but it always, in the wise words of riley hopkins themself, shreds.
