Painfully average despite the mountain of promise present. The combat is bland and requires little thinking. It uses cards but that is sadly just a marketing tactic. There is no deck building in this game despite the visuals, your deck is static, only being added to by story events and the odd piece of equipment, leading to no strategy or character building. The art is nice and some of the writing good, but the plot feels a little silly as the main character loses sight of rescuing their sibling to pursue arbitrary side plots. The game has "mini games" to break things up, but they are often poorly explained and are just reflex tests. The game feels extremely linear at times. This is not an rpg by any means, it is a visual novel with busy work. If that is what you are seeking then you may very well enjoy it, but sadly it fails to deliver on the promises it made.
