Hit a complete roadblock... and could not progress, when a check did not trigger and NPC did not spawn. 

It was intriguing and getting better and better, was actually quite beautiful visually too, until this. 

It is a bit of a let down even before this, as you wind up in a relationship, whether you want to be or not, with someone who is one of the least attractive women in the game... but ..... seems like that does not stop the MC from doing what one does in adult games like this. 

But once I could not progress I had to give up. I did not bother starting over. I give one chance on things like that. 

Sadly, ONE STAR. 

I completely reinstalled the game, and gave this one another a try. Which was a good call, because now, this time around, it is working.

The main thing with an AVN, is, for me, the A PART. 

Adult Content. H(ot) Scenes. SEXUALLY EXPLICIT episodes....   and if you think about it, you surely get why, right? AVN? I mean, there's a myriad of games, some by professional AAA studios of legendary status within the gamer community which have made games in the VN format. 

The A bit is what MAKES and AVN and AVN. Many people try to argue that Adult means more like Mature, mature themes etc. Wrong. In game media, like print and AV media... and especially within the realm of their retailing... Adult mean SEXUAL CONTENT just like Adult Film, or Adult Bookstore. 

Normally, I have found games in this genre with some deep, edgy, parallel world/time loop/Sci-Fi hook, with some deep mystery or epic clash... the kind of things which is the backbone of say teen goth fiction or Seinen Anime.... well... they usually FAIL HARD at the A part of AVN, and have devs which write off any criticism on that point with 'Well it is not that kind of game'.  Cop out, I know. But I have come to expect such games to be full of doggy treat sex scenes, at best, and ones which count as tokenism at worst from such games. 

Limited in context, poorly 'shot' (bad pacing, angles, lighting, phasing etc), and the weakest part of the game. I personally suspect any AVN game where you could take the sex out and it not make one iota of difference to the story, to have such context to make sales, and to avoid direct competition with VNs made by professional, major, game studios. Show some T&A, and an O-Face hither and dither... and suck in sales, whilst competing in much smaller niche without any major players as competition. 

But this game? Well it has that story, all those tropes, all the signs it will be trash as an AVN, because it will fail at the A bit....  but it DOES NOT. 

The story is cliche in a way, nothing not done before. The taboos are passe in their way too, dime a dozen. There's some edginess, and 'Soooo CooooOOOOooooOooOooool' elements to the writing even, at times, at least early on (the breakfast scenes come to mind)....

....but the writing is actually, generally, GOOD, not award winning, but good... the that would be edgy cool kids schtick parts in other games, actually knit the narrative, and most of all, the ADULT part is GOOD. 

The scenes are GOOD, not benchmark, not the best in the genre, but GOOD. Both in quantity and quality. This game does NOT shy away from that. There is an array of love interests/sexual conquests, as well as a variety of fetishes explored. The VERY best part of THIS game, is such fetishes DO NOT exclude you from their opposites. For example, one girl you get with, who works in the medical field... you can be... dominant... to a degree with. But another woman you get with, an older hot scientist type....is the Dom, and wants to Dom the MC....and you can LET HER, without becoming a Sub overall, nor without being locked out of it for being a Dom with the other LI, or looked out of that LI and being the way you are with her if you go the latter path first. 

This game still falls short of the BEST Adult scenes...  think games like Eternum or Ripples or maybe games like LISC or Race Of Life on ...what fogs up mirrors... platform... but GOOD.

It falls short of my metric of the VERY BEST games, in quantity too, since I usually expect 2 H scenes an hour play... because the BEST have that, things like Come Home, or NLT games, or L7 ones, or something even like the critically underrated Isekai Paradise here on Itch. But again, there is ENOUGH. 

More, what there is CAN be amazing. I would argue the 'Maternal Figure' character, in THIS game, is perhaps, the HOTTEST in ANY AVN, and the scenes with HER are the standouts in the game...personally, I think if you are going to include some really perverted taboo like that, those SHOULD BE, and here, they ARE. 

I rated this game so low, because my original file seems to have been broken, and I assumed the game sucked, rated it one star, and was scathing. I leave that here, as reference though (struck out as it is). Because as you can see, this game went from ONE STAR, and SCATHING criticism of it just failing.... to FIVE, and this review. 

Definitely give this one a shot.
