Let me be upfront: this is genuinely impressive work. Before diving into the details, it is worth stating plainly that this visual novel has the potential to become a landmark within the furry visual novel scene; and everything that follows in this review is written with that conviction in mind.
Visuals: 10/10, "Exquisite" for me. Theo's design alone is worth the mention; an arctic fox carrying the exhausted aura of someone worn down by a life time of hardship, yet never stripped of quiet dignity. It should not work as well as it does. The rest of the cast holds the same standard, and the background art deserves equal praise: every environment feels deliberately suffocating, reinforcing the story's psychological tension without a single wasted frame. There is barely little to criticize here; the artistic direction is handled with remarkable care, and it shows.
Music 9/10, the music complements the story's melancholic tone with quiet intelligence, never overstepping; but that same restraint becomes its greatest limitation. Where the narrative descends into paranoia, emotional collapse, and psychological decay, the soundtrack often stays at a safe distance, to gentle to fully follow the characters into the dark. Its subtlety is frequently beautiful, but in a story this rooted in emotional exhaustion, hesitating at the edge of the darkness costs it the chance to be not just melancholic but genuinely haunting
emotional: 8/10, I mean... the story handle trauma, grief, and psychological complexity with genuine nuance; but its emotional delivery rarely lets up, the relentless layering of tension means some dramatic moments gradually lose their impact, creating distance where connection should be. It is less a flaw than an intention: this is not a conventional emotional journey, but an exploration of exhaustion itself; and what it leaves behind is not a lingering emotion but a hollow silence after the credits
<ONCE MORE TIME, THIS IS JUST MY OPINION, DON'T TAKE IT PERSONAL>
