BIT Mysteries rated All Hell Unleashed (NES)

BIT Mysteries rated a free NES homebrew 18 days ago
A downloadable free NES homebrew for Windows.

I'll preface by saying that the NES was not my first console, so I'm familiar with the source material. The authors really put a lot of love and attention to detail, from the types of enemies, to the sound effects, to the game mechanics. There's the good parts of the NES's "Friday The 13th" mixed with a "Konami" like feel.

It's NES hard tho, so you need nerves of steel to get through this, but that's where this game shines see the only issue with the controls is the player. It's always fair, and so it always tempts your to give it another go. It's a fun though punishing game that will keep you smiling while gritting your teeth.

Seriously, this brings back the glory of throwing your controllers to the wall like in those days long time ago (strangely enough, that's actually a good thing). Really solid game, extremely responsive, great level design, and the boss fights... Wow, they seem impossible at first glance but they're like a puzzle, and it's a very rewarding process to finally solve them. Take that... puzzle! Kudos to the team!
