Foxhead rated Shunned Land

Foxhead rated a game 27 days ago
A downloadable game for Windows.

This game has a incredible atmosphere and music, i loved the way the worlds lore is delivered to you through the texts, signs and structures. Walking around made me feel watched the whole time and with the talk of angels and statues that feeling was empowered even more as i progressed.

Though the only reason i don't give 5 Stars is because of one(1) puzzle: [POSSIBLE SPOILERS] - Throughout the game, most of the puzzles are along the lines of "Place this object in its clearly designated area" or "Move this object to match" and so on, so when we reach the end(?) there is this Bowl puzzle: The puzzle gives you 7 bowls to be put on 7 numbered angels, each angel has a hint of its own Bowl or another one, except... The hints are not about the Bowls, they are about the paintings next to each of these angels - Your job is to interpret the hints, that will lead you to the correct  painting (If you interpret correctly), then interpret the description of the paintings and find the bowl that matches (Again, if you interpret correctly). I was not able to do this because the way the hint is given to you is like "The angel sounds the pouring of the third bowl..." it will give you a description of a sound, so you think "the third bowl must match whatever this sound is, like the sound of insects maybe match the bowl that smells bad and has pus in it" I use this logic because that's how every other puzzle before this has been.

I spent a whole hour doing this puzzle and the only reason i know what you're supposed to do was because i asked the dev directly through social media and they explained to me the logic behind it.

Even with its logic explained i was not able to continue, because i just didn't feel like it anymore, the time i spent attempting this puzzle destroyed my interest in knowing what it all led. Maybe i'm just dumb but i don't know, it just didn't feel like a good puzzle even after understanding what i was supposed to do, especially with everything presented before.

I still recommend the game though, its a incredible experience, don't let my 4 star review dissuade you from playing it and giving the dev some cash too
