I'm enjoying it so far, the roots of the game are solid. I'm a few hours in at this point, mostly idling. I do have some critiques:
1. The amount of Skeleton Assassins and Giant Rats early on is too high. It is not possible to fight these things with no upgrades, even with perfect QTEs, and getting several dungeons in a row with them as the starting enemies was a little annoying. Not sure how you can rectify this, maybe have them spawn after 2 normal skeletons at least?
2. The death screen needs to either be faster, toggleable, and/or skippable, and the timer bar for it is lowkey so triggering LMAO. It slows down as it reaches the end of the timer instead of being a constant speed, which just makes me unreasonably anxious waiting for the small sliver to hurry up.
3. Attack speed almost seems random. Sometimes the prompts are in quick succession and sometimes it's slow. Not sure if this is a feature, but if it is, it should be shown on weapon stats, because I had assumed attack speed was a consistent, non-randomized stat, unlike damage numbers.
4. Speaking of weapon stats, you cannot view the stats of equipped weapons.
5. Some of the mouse-hover-UI elements are cut off of the screen, such as hovering over the upper bar of the fishing minigame. It's cut off far to the left and unreadable.
6. This is probably going to be addressed later in development, but I have no clue how forging is supposed to function, nor do I know how to get fishing upgrades. I can't do anything with the forge as it has no recipes nor do the buttons have any interactions, and maybe I'm blind to the fishing upgrades but I just don't know where they are.
I look forward to more updates. This is a pleasant gem. :)
