I enjoyed how this was framed and presented quite a bit. If I'm being honest, I was maybe slightly confused about the nature of what was going on when the reveal hit and I do wonder what the overall effect might have been had her secret not been the first thing shown in the story but overall this hit nicely. Aaron was charming and the edge to him was never overbearing enough to take away from that. I also thought that everything before the date itself was particularly strong although it may be that I just sort of like that type of vexed ennui. All in all, good work!
