I'm not even into some of the kinks in this game, (namely lip growth and brain drain) but the puzzle mechanics are legitimately really enjoyable and engrossing, with mercifully little (albeit occasional) need for trial and error. (And even when I did need to T&E it, the answers made sense an overwhelming majority of the time.) The writing is genuinely pretty funny as well and takes itself the right amount of seriously (ie, very little). The character creator for endless is a really nice touch, even if I didn't do much with it because of my mega-potato laptop load times. (I do not blame the game for those, this thing can barely run 20-year old Lego games without stuttering.) What was most impressive to me, though, is that on top of the consistent twists to the gameplay loop that get introduced, (the ways in which you deal with being shortstack-ified got a good chuckle out of me) the final level manages to feel like a proper culmination of everything you've learned and encountered - like how the last escape in Pizza Tower brings back [mostly] all of the gimmicks of the previous levels. (There's probably a more apt comparison, I'm just not thinking of it rn) Like, the occasional trial-and-error would have brought it down to four stars, but for me, the momentum of that final section is enough to bring it back up to five. To quote an intergalactic despot, "We will watch your career with great interest!"
