Wonderful all around~
I'd gush about it all: the characters' silly back and forth; the pellet bloops and pings; the boss progression; the infiitely replayable music...
Also I've played enough 8 & 16 bit games to still appreciate that there are checkpoints, especially in something this retro-evocative. So that's something worth gushing about too!
