While a perfectly fine concept in theory, I didn't end up finishing this one. For me, Spooky Ghosts Dot Com simply got too repetitive with the boss fights. Bosses have plenty of health, and while dodging their attacks *could* be engaging, there is so much dodging and so little opportunity to fight back while dodging that combat becomes a tedious slog of dodge for ten seconds, shoot the boss three times, and then repeat a dozen times.
This wouldn't be as much of a problem if not for the fact that there's little to no mechanical progression outside of boss fights. While the candy buckets and shop items DO help to a small extent, they don't effectively negate the problem with the boss fight slog. The rest of the levels and environment seem otherwise fine, imo.
I worry this review is too negative. Perhaps because I personally quit due to the stuff with the bosses. So all I'll say is that if you can look past what I couldn't, you'll find yourself a charming little game that exudes a goofy Halloween spirit. It's worth giving it a shot, at least, in my opinion.
