A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

WRITING / PACE

Writing throughout the of the game was coherent and engaging, but maybe a bit contrived at times (writing seemed to consistently get better as the game went on, maybe rewrite the first few chapters after finishing the game, idk.) The short stories (Libra flashbacks) were my favorite part, I really wish the rest of the game could have the same emotional impact of those sections. Pace was slow, but I'm new to this genre, no grinding was really needed.

Mechanics
Total Mechanical depth is somewhat limited by rpgmaker. Combat feels samey to most other rpgmaker games, but the changing cast and many skills/items keeps encounters from being boring. Some moments were challenging, but I usually beat bosses on the first or second try.

Outside of combat: puzzles are okay,

TLDR

Favorite things

  • characters are interesting and easy to connect to.
  • engaging story
  • art style is great (though I would like to see more original, not rpgmaker default stuff)
  • never got lost for more than 5 minutes/always knew what to do

Gripes

  • 18+ elements (at the moment at least) seem to be somewhat unnecessary to the story or appeal of the game. I think it is possible to make a great TF game without including them. By including them you might prevent people who would really enjoying your game from playing it.
  • pace at times. first chapters deserve more attention
  • not being able to transfer save files between major version. (reached the end of 0.14 after ~30hrs, sad I can't continue after that point, will wait for full game)

Extremely impressive for a team of two people, gamedevs should be proud of themselves. (but please complete the game before 2050)
