A 3 for the start, 5 for the later parts.
It is at its core an engaging story with serious character development from all major characters. But is has mixed succes to start with.
At first many things are told, not shown, some plot points are given almost no room to breath before something advances them. Many things would have been better if they were shown as parts of scenes over the next 1-2 hours.
The later scenes are far, far better than the first 30 minutes. Chapter 2 and especially 3 can almost compete with the best in the genre.
The only thing holding the latter parts back a bit is the lack of set-up certain elements got in first part of the story. Sometimes a minor plot point or character motivation is only brought up in dialogue without any scenes to showcase them.
