The art and music is great. I played about 1.5 hours on my first playthrough before hitting a wall.
I feel like perhaps maybe it realies a bit on previous experiance in this type of game to intuitively understand how to play. I feel like as someone who doesn't play these types of games often, I found that the tutorials were lacking. They were slow to pop up, do not direct or show very well the process. and didn't lead me fast enough when I completed a task. Also when I tried to search the ? mark to figure out the process line of doing things, it would say that I need 'fill-in-specific-thing' but did not direct me where to get that thing.
I really didn't understand how to build homes, fill containers, or what it takes to keep them fed through farming or hunting since those tutorials never came up. Also there are no pre builds blueprints for homes or workshops.
I got attacked by a rat boy before any kind of how to make weapons tutorial was given. I clicked around until I found out that there are tabs to go to different research places and had them learn how to make them, but could not see the way to build them despite having the wood working table. Then I dunno if it glitched out because of this, all my little woodling people all froze in their spots, and the rat boi also froze. And I couldn't do anything.
I think I'll try again sometime with my trial and error style of gaming, cause I feel like if I understood the mechanics, it has a lot to give!!
