Val Sama 66 rated Night Watch: A Good Boy Story

A downloadable game.

I really liked what I saw, I was very interested in seeing how the story would play out, specially since It's about a topic any gamedev could relate, which is: Having doubts about how good your game is.

But I couldn't get past the second level of the game. I already felt very frustrated since trying to get the damn kid to go up the mountain was really difficult, since you need to encourage him to go up, and keep the boulders from falling on him, it took me almost 5 tries.

And then came the second level, I touched the little sparkles on the right side of the map, underneath the torch, and it wasn't clear to me that I would need to memorize the path that was shown to me, I accidentaly clicked on "don't show me again", and by the time I realized I had to follow the steps, I hadn't memorized it, so I kept trying to go by trial and error, and after 8 tries I gave up.  I tried reloading the game, but it autosaved to where the minigame had already started, so I became soft locked.

And since I already felt frustrated with the mountain minigame, I didn't feel like playing it again. I believed the best way to remedy this, is to maybe have the kid not slide down so quicky once you leave his back in the mountain passage, and having a message saying "follow the light's path" before showing it's movement. That way, it's much less frustrating to play, and much more obvious what we should do.

I genuinely appreciate the effort put in here. I really wanted to see how the story played out, maybe another time, I'll give it a second chance!
