Padyshar rated Heavenly Peaks Cultivation

Padyshar rated a game 115 days ago
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android.

This developer deletes any comments that raise questions about forward progress (or lack thereof) in the game; the most prevalent being the lack of any content updates for several months, despite continuing to collect on the Patreon page. The developer's other projects (Those Golden Days and Endless Eden) have had several updates in the meantime. Any comments that refer to this are deleted quickly and without explanation. HPC features a (rather short) fairly technical prologue with good models and a promising story, but has lacked any content for at least nine months now (all while still collecting full support on the relevant Patreon page). I do hope he finishes this but, as it stands currently, considering the hostile nature of the devlogs (he seems preoccupied with the idea that someone is out to get him, referring to dissatisfied patrons and Itch contributors alike as "stalkers" and "haters" openly in these logs) and the conspicuous lack of content updates, I'm not completely convinced. Luckily, what he has completed so far is "name your price", so it's still worth a look. Star review from me may improve as more content is released.

*Update: September has come and gone, and beyond "technical" updates, there is still no significant story updates available, while the other two projects continue to generate revenue(both here and on Patreon). I was told by this dev to "pirate" the game before he blocked me from his Patreon page (his reasoning over several message exchanges [screenshots were made after I reported him] was that I was part of this group of "stalkers"... the irony was not lost on me that this is what prompted further investigation of the other download sites, and the other projects). Reading previous posts on Steam, and other sources, this dev has been working this angle on this particular game for years, now, offering everything from health reasons to financial difficulties (although the dev also claims the projects are not his primary source of income, frequent pleas for donation riddle posts on Patreon, Steam, and Itch). I had hoped something would possibly get done in an effort to prove all his "haters" wrong, but as of this edit, it would appear this project was only continued on Patreon to fleece more people to fund his other pet projects, as there seems to be no demonstrable forward progress beyond his continuous reference to his other projects being "testing" for his alleged magnum opus [this project]. Unsurprisingly, there isn't (nor has there been) any pause in the Patreon billing cycle for this "game".
June 16: The dev finally figured out how to make the mobile version work, but still no visible progress on the story, and once more is asking for money for ongoing health issues (issues that have either plagued him for three years, or 13 months, depending on whether you believe all of his previous posts, or this most recent, respectively) This "game" is most definitely nothing more than a grift, never intended to be finished, but to continue fleecing the gullible to fund other, easier projects.
Jan 2026: Itch has finally removed profitability on this author's various projects through Itch.io, so the author has moved ALL of his projects to Patreon, leaving him to beg for money on the only platform where it is actually appropriate. Despite claims to have improved/updated the game, there is still NO updates.downloads available. Clearly, the dev wishes to make EXTRA sure he gets more money before he makes any forward progress. Devlog says it all: this project is a grift that will never be finished.
