I liked the concept of the game, and that convinced me to try it when it appeared way down the list in the Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality.
I still like the concept of the game but it just seems unfinished. The interface doesn't provide tools for actually reasoning things out, like marking a square as safe without navigating to it. It's also a pain to constantly have to back up to see if the square I just revealed has a number on it.
And once you figure out the controls and the mechanic, which is a tricky first step, the puzzles are very easy. The stairs are usually not hard to reach, and I find them when I feel like I solved a quarter of the puzzle. Sometimes I find the stairs within the open space I can explore just by searching things that obviously have 0 mines. And there's no reward for solving a puzzle besides another puzzle of about the same difficulty.
Is there a difference between blue and green squares? It's confusing. I never had to distinguish them to solve puzzles.
I'd be interested in trying a finished version of the game, with designed puzzles that don't just have random easy paths to the stairs.
