Esoteric controls are one thing, but broken esoteric controls are another. The smoothing on the mouse position caused me to accidentally pogo when landing, which often got me killed. And that's my other problem, dying sends you all the way back to the start, which makes sense in a speedrunning context, but when just trying to play the game as I was, it feels too punishing, especially later into the level.
Overall, A for effort, B for execution. Still good, but could use some refinement. It certainly did annoy me, as any Foddian game should.
And I did have fun bopping Goombas with a hammer.
