H-Review rated World Tamer

H-Review rated a game 129 days ago
A browser game made in HTML5.

A very weird experience.

Very much "guy who's really good at everything, fucks like a god, and cums like a garden hose."

There's interesting story content in here, which we'll get to,
but just as conflict is introduced, it's concluded.

A gang comes into the bar to get ransom money.
The MC punches one dude and they all leave.

They come back and shoot up the place, completely destroying it.
The MC's friend knows contractors, they fix the place in 3 days.

Another gang, belonging to a powerful crime family comes in with weapons.
A family member to the owners is the child of more powerful-er crime family, and they walk in mid-convernsation to tell them to fuck off.

An entire evil corporation that killed the MC's parents is now coming after every character the MC's come into contact with, threatening him with a letter listing off their names and daily routines?
The demon character can just 'take care of it'.

The MC gets stuck in a pocket dimension for a month, when he comes back, many characters who shouldn't know where he's been or who he is are reasonably upset with him.
Each character either accepts his explanation, or has gone to his house and accept the explanation his housemates gave to them.

The writer is putting off conflict and consequence to not have long scenes of dialogue without porn, which for some instances, like putting dates with another character off so you can focus on another part of the story, is fine- but for others, it doesn't make sense.
Like the pregnancy content.

Pregnancy in adult games or VN's usually come in as a punishment the player then has to deal with, or to be part of the story.
World Tamer only uses it to be an excuse to explore the fetish, which- fair enough, this is a porn VN, but plenty have a deeper story while still having a lot of sexual content- the MC being involved with so many girls is never brought up or addressed in any way, ALL of the ladies are just cool with it. None of them say anything about being left out or not getting enough attention.

Even when considering larger story beats, the apprehensiveness to create lasting conflict sticks:

The MC has a kind of 'twin souls' thing going on, where another character, Luna, lives through him, in his head. She doesn't have control, but can see through his eyes and speak to him through the power he gains while "taming" others.
That can create a lot of story beats.... however...
In the moment she's first introduced, Luna has a moment where she's able to tell the MC to get down, and, had he not, he would of been shot and killed. This is the only time she does this, and never once has another clairvoyant moment. At least not one in the 20 hours i've been playing this.

The groundwork for interesting interactions is still here, but the conclusions end in a cloud of dust or a wave of the hand.

Either way, let me end the review by saying this.

Don't let me discourage you, keep creating, keep telling your story!
You'll improve with time, and there's nothing wrong with finishing this story, and creating something new with the things you learned while creating World tamer.

Good luck to you!
