I was about to got to sleep, then I pressed play and I couldn't stop until the very end.
Am I a fan of horror games in general? No.
Am I a fan of art-house psychological black and white neo-realist horror videogames specifically? Y E S ! ! !
This game is short, relatively easy, but so well packaged altogether. From the film reel noise in the background to the dialogue on black cards to the mixed art media to the unsettling story and characters. Everything is gorgeous.
And, since we can't avoid mention it, no, the ban had no ground whatsoever.
However, said that, I feel this game is a bit outdated in how it tackles its theme. Like, it feels like it came out 10 or more years ago rather than in 2025. I'm mostly thinking about the (unseen) sexual violence and abuse as well as the (implicit) fatphobia of the main villain. I believe the message and the story could've worked anyway even without falling in horrible old trope and imagery.
