Forgot to rate this when I played it way back when, but this is genuinely fantastic. The atmosphere is mint, the way the horror is tied into the mechanics is flawless, the lore (both implied and outright stated) is genuinely refreshing, getting to be the eldritch entity that scares others is a nice change of pace! And the achievements/goals and unlocks were a nice touch too, let me get a lot more playtime out of the game without it feeling wasted, made me actually engage and get GOOD at the game's mechanics. Just generally, quite stellar, and it remains a standout in my memory to this day, at least a year later, I would estimate. Very good, I don't get to write a lot of positive reviews! Let alone 5 star ones, but I do think this is closer to 5 stars than 4, which is quite rare for me. Stellar work.
Edit: Also, that song and the "weird commercial" went hard, that was good.
