first rating didn't do it justice so here's me editing this a year later. I LOVE THIS GAME. Genuinely my all time, absolute favourite visual novel. The story: amazing. highs, lows, there's tension, there's tears, and there's happiness, and it's all balanced in a way that makes it feel so real. Growing up with Cove, I felt like we actually knew him and he wasn't just some love interest that your supposed to find attractive and nothing else. He's written so well, the story and the change that comes with moving on in life is written so well, that I can literally see the passion put into every line.

The art is as well, beautiful. The emotions conveyed in CGs with Cove, the colour choices and backgrounds, and the visible evidence of change as they grow up is amazing. Not to mention that he changes appearance depending on our choices. That is honestly one of my favourite parts every time I do a new run, good job artists!

On a personal note, his experience with divorced parents, and the way it was treated by the writers, honestly helped me feel seen in ways I cant begin to explain. Our situations are different, but the anger and confusion he felt was just the same as mine. I hold that dear to my heart, and I thank you GBPatch for handling it so wonderfully.

All in all, an absolutely great game. Thank you for making it <3
