Pink Narcissus rated Heaven

A browser game made in HTML5.

Amazing, showstopping, perfect.

The writing is tense, subtle, and is still not afraid to smack you in the face with what it's putting down if need be. All of the character voices are ridiculously strong. I think I had some small issues with the writing in the creator's may wolf (mind, they were tiny and I loved Your Eyes so play that too). But here? It's so good I didn't even realize I was reading half the time, because I was IN IT.

The visuals are also extremely nice. Not only in how they look, but the way they're used. Maybe it's because I'm not American and barely know what a super church is, but stepping into a sermon to be met by a rave was maybe the most surreal part of the entire game. I played it with flashing lights turned off, but I'm sure that aspect is implemented well too.

It's also really nice that Cheetah and Camazule made sprites for this game, and then let everyone else use them too. It can feel like jam entries using the community sprites have to work a bit to make them mostly fit with what they're doing (which is not a judgement at all, it's just difficult as they of course can't fit everyone). But burlapjoe makes use of them so well, they really might as well have been made for him.

And finally, the best part. The sound design. The music absolutely SLAPS for one. It also does some very interesting things, like first playing a normal version of a song, to then seamlessly crank the bass and reverb during a transition. If there isn't some kinda Best Audio, it should be created so this can win.

I don't think I need to reiterate how good this is, but I will anyway: HEAVEN IS FUCKING AMAZING, HALLELUJAH!
