Both ended up being what I expected and not what I expected at the same time.
I expected a short cute RPGMaker game about saving a dying world featuring some meta elements and some charming characters, but what I got is a meta game where the player is treated as a character in the story, said dying world is actually a simulation and the "real" world is already gone and actual tears as I watched Niko walk off the screen at the end of it all.
For me the game was really refreshing as although I am a massive fan of meta horror I crave for, and I think there should be more meta games (especially meta games that require you to interact with files on your computer and/or pop-up windows) that are not horror.
