"an unplayable game?!" is simply put so, so very endearing! I love the concept and the execution. Played through the game quite quickly, then went over the developer commentary. I'm an absolute sucker for stuff like that, so I'm really glad you included it!
Wish it included even more commentary on accessibility: especially things such as colorblindness settings, text size/font choice/background opacity/subtitle settings (can you tell I'm approaching this from an LQA perspective? Ahaha). But then again, the game was clearly intended to be small-scoped and focused on accessibility ailing users with motoric/coordination issues, and it succeded at that!
Really, I love this little game. Feels like what indie games should be TBH!
Oh, I also really liked your take on assets from the documentary + that little bit about staying healthy while developing/playing games (20/20/20 rule, standing up, etc.). I wish more games cared about healthy gamers and gaming practices, especially since the industry standard is focusing on dark patterns to milk microtransactions...
Ps: I know you said you didn't care, but IMO the environmental storytelling added a lot! I also laughed when at the end you "join" the cult. Felt like a very neat subversion of "bead the bad guy, do it now!!" I was expecting. I was genuinely surprised the final challenge wasn't jumping on and smashing the cult leader's head, like you'd do to a goomba in Mario.
Again, I absolutely adore this game. In an odd way it made me nostalgic for indie flash games. Wonderful work!
