Very impressed so far with some of the best writing and dialogue I've seen out of the newer AVNs on the scene. I'm a sucker for good writing (these are Novels after all) and a good AVN should be able to stand on its own without the A part, although its always greatly appreciated. Characters are all well done and unique on the surface and I'm looking forward to seeing their depths (heh) and the story doesn't suffer from the common pacing issues a lot of other VNs have, although I hope that holds true with the day to day mechanic that can block a story from progressing quickly. Banter between MC and Cerys is definitely a highlight and I find the dynamic between them to be very entertaining. Its quite interesting how cavalier and nonchalant all the characters are about intimacy and the open nature of their relationships despite the engagement. If I had to critique anything so far it would be the aforementioned potential pacing issue with the day to day story telling bogging the story down or the overall lack of visual spells for the better part of the first chapter outside of MCs initial confrontation with the mercs. For a game about the nature of magic it took a little while to actually show some spells we could see but once it did I wasn't disappointed. Nothing was overly flash (ahem Cross Realms ahem) and it fit within the narrative nicely. I look forward to seeing this story progress and dive into the intrigue of feuding families and their politics being decided by the cock of our dear MC.
