I didn't really catch on that it was a 'cest-fest until it was too late (towards the end of chapter 1 I started realizing what Roommate, Landlady, Tenant, Landlord, etc. REALLY meant), and even though I don't agree with that aspect, the story was too gripping and interesting to just drop, the writing is phenomenal and at times I could even relate and feel what the characters were feeling.  Good on ya mate!
