So the update as made it possible for me to play. And it now feels so much worse. The starting decks feel only BARELY passable in terms of strength on a good roll, but on average will have the standard allures, casting method of choice, and then something that is anywhere from useless to actively detrimental. From Bulging elixirs which do Fuck and All against anyone with an injection or midas build, or injects which will remove your only method of casting. And if you get past stage one, it's a crucial gamble to see if you get anything worth anything, and especially if you can get enough of it to carry you anywhere. Meanwhile, the opponents have incredibly potent builds that, thanks to actually being CONSTRUCTED, are all but guarenteed to wipe you off the map with little difficulty on their end. It takes a herculean effort to scaale your own build anywhere past dogshit, and as soon as you progress they seem to have doubled their potential to screw you over. That bulging elixirs give NO benefit to putting eggplants in the opposing cauldron boggles the mind given the ever-present threat of things like injections and idols, and are best used as trade fodder, or at least they would were it not for how what you CAN trade is determined by what you ended the round with, which will only be the bulgings if you happened to draw them alongside the requisites for a killshot. The power level of the player constantly feels underwhelming unless you somehow manage to roll into a god tier trade early on. Incredibly frustrating, cannot recommend in current state
