Based on what the author details as the description and game objectives, it seems they've accomplished that well. The graphics, while minimal, do the trick (possibly a bunch of control nodes in Godot?). Core game mechanics function very well, and overall is quite intuitive to play. No bugs found. The narrative works, drip-fed (as intended) via clues uncovered within the game. I found it to be a bit safe as far as a story/lore goes, but it does the job well enough. The graphic design elements all work well for the theme of the game. Nice touch with the font choice. I like it.
I wouldn't exactly call Grid Remnant riveting, but it kept me hooked for a good 30-45 minutes. More than most browser games.
Even though I never got the final clue, I enjoyed the game enough that I'll come back to take another crack or few at beating it. For a first game by a solo-dev, pretty good stuff. I'll follow in hopes of more good games and improvements in their skills/releases. Keep it up! 3/5
