Slither is raw and unflinching, and this is a story that holds nothing back. I cannot overstate how intensely I felt the emotions here. I do not often cry when reading these things, but by the end of it I was full on sobbing, chest clenched tight. It has struck me, pulled me, and reached me, right in the deepest parts of my psyche. The suffering and the thoughts on display here have affected me in a way I have never been affected before. I wanted to retch in both joy and fear. Slither's work here is beyond any metric I know of "good" or "bad", it simply is the intensity of his being on display, and I am grateful that he has chosen to release it to the world.
