Wow, this was really good! It has all the charm of the old text adventure games but it was incredibly responsive. You did a great job with the parser, I rarely got frustrated with any word guessing. I also thought I was being very thorough, but I apparently still missed a few details! I love how much attention you've placed into the setting and the small details like bespoke animations for specific actions (hiding in the canoe and Nancy taking off her shoes to fall asleep are some of my favorites).  The characters are also all-time classics - you did a great job making them all seem suspicious despite Nessa, Corvus and Albert being the main villains.

My only complaint is that I was expecting a very satisfying sound effect during the billiards scene and it never came (but that's only because all the other sound effects are great!)
